I am not the best person to discuss food, as my go to is usually what I am used to (my first Turkish meal was a margherita pizza!), but I thought people might enjoy seeing the different foods we encountered when in Istanbul.

It’s mandatory to try the local beer
Apple Tea served after every meal
Grilled chicken wrap at Otantik Restaurant
Dolma – stuffed peppers and grape leaves
Gozleme – Turkish pancake stuffed with feta cheese
Aubergine – eggplant
Must always try the schnitzel as well!
Tea and baklava, served after meals
Puff bread
Turkish Breakfast
Street Simit with Nutella
Quinoa Salad
Chicken Shish Kebab
Lemon and Mixed Cheesecake (for breakfast!)
